Following our Rules update, we're reshaping our staff team to back up our commitment to better moderation. Full role details are in https://discord.com/channels/1486886790425084084/1486887491020783769. **🎉 Congratulations to Our Recently Promoted Staff!** **Pine ➜ Yew:** Zelda and Hols **New Oak:** Sammi, our very first Oak moderator! Thank you all for the work you've put in. We can't wait to see you keep shaping our community. **🛡️ Oaks Are Now Chat Moderators** Oaks are now a dedicated Chat Moderator role, focused on keeping Gn0me Home fun and fair for everyone. Keeping the peace isn't on them alone, though. All staff work to maintain an appropriate chat environment. **📝 We're Recruiting!** If you love this clan as much as we do, we strongly encourage you to apply. No pressure to plan events or climb the ranks unless you want to. The focus is simply helping keep chat a good place to be. 👉 **Apply:** https://www.gn0mehome.com/apply **🚪 Joining the Clan** The ability to "Invite to clan" now sits with Staff, so every new member gets a proper welcome. Met someone cool or have a friend who wants to join? Reach out to any staff member and we'll get them invited! New members will start as Boot for about a week. This is not a penalty! It's a chance for everyone to spot the new faces, say hello, and help them feel at home. 🏡 Thanks for helping make Gn0me Home a great place to be. 💚 — *The Trees and Keys*

Hey Gn0mes, We've made some updates to our rules in https://discord.com/channels/1486886790425084084/1486887473870143659, focused on respect and conduct in clan chat and Discord. We want to walk you through what changed and why. **🌱 Why now?** Recently, a few heated moments have boiled over in chat, and several of you reached out privately to say chat was getting out of hand and that we weren't doing enough to keep the peace. We heard you, and you were right. Gn0me Home should be a place where everyone feels welcome to log in and hang out. **📜 What's changed** - **Keep chat appropriate.** A mild innuendo or joke is fine, but let's keep things clean overall. - **Don't start fights.** Disagreements happen; drama doesn't have to. - **Keep politics and religion out.** There are plenty of other places for those conversations. **🛡️ How we'll handle it** We're stepping up moderation so these rules actually mean something: 1. **De-escalate first.** A Tree will step in and redirect the conversation. 2. **Warning.** If it continues, you'll get a direct warning. 3. **Temporary expulsion.** If it still continues, you'll be expelled for a cool-off period. Afterward, a Yew or Key will reach out and re-invite you. ⚠️ Zero tolerance offenses still result in an immediate, permanent expulsion and ban. No steps, no exceptions. **💚 What this *doesn't* mean** We're not here to police every word. Have fun, crack jokes, banter, be yourselves. You don't need to tiptoe. We just ask that you approach the clan with care and remember there's a real person behind every message. Please take a few minutes to read through #clan-rules. Questions? Ping a Yew or Key. Thanks for helping keep Gn0me Home a great place to be. 🏡 — *The Trees and Keys*
